Mr. McLaughlin has been chosen by the nationally renowned Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System (IAALS) to serve as a faculty member for its 1st Annual “Best in Class” eDiscovery Summit to be held at the Sturm College of Law, at the University of Denver, on June 22, 2012. Mr. McLaughlin will share insights and expertise from his extensive experience managing discovery in-house for Fortune 500 legal departments and top-tier law firms, during a panel session entitled, “Do You Know Your Clients’ ESI? Best Practices to Explore and Understand Data Sources, What is Accessible and What Needs to be Done in Any Given Case.”
In conjunction with the conference, IAALS is also conducting its 1st Annual eDiscovery “Boot Camp” for State Court Judges at the Sturm College of Law, at the University of Denver, on June 23, 2012. The “Boot Camp” will be an opportunity for additional education for state courts in the rapidly changing and growing field of e-discovery. Mr. McLaughlin has also been selected to serve as faculty for the “Boot Camp,” during a session entitled “Some Basics on Technology: What are these things and how do they work?” During the session, Mr. McLaughlin will share his expertise on some of the fundamentals and emerging trends in e-discovery, such as discovery of data from mobile devices, cloud networks, corporate e-mail and instant messaging systems, social media, and more.
The “Best in Class” Summit will offer valuable Colorado CLE credits, and the eDiscovery “Boot Camp” will offer valuable Colorado Judicial CLE credits.
