Proven Results through InsideOut – Bold Ideas and Achievable Strategies

Falcon Discovery’s InsideOut™ process is the result of a 2004 consulting project between Falcon’s founder, Don McLaughlin, and Qwest Communications. As a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in guiding litigation and discovery for large organizations, it was no surprise that Qwest called on Mr. McLaughlin at a time when the company was facing several high-stakes legal matters.

As Qwest was challenged with spiraling costs and high-profile criminal and civil cases, Mr. McLaughlin was given a blank sheet to develop fresh ideas that would re-engineer and optimize the company’s discovery processes.

Mr. McLaughlin gathered a team of seasoned lawyers, technologists and litigation management consultants. Collectively they designed a model that coordinates in-house infrastructure, outside expertise, and an onsite technical and legal services presence—a model they called InsideOut™. This new model quickly delivered dramatic results.

In fact, by 2008, Corporate Counsel Magazine named Qwest Communication’s legal department as Corporate Legal Department of the Year. With this momentum, Falcon Discovery began helping other clients achieve dramatic savings, smarter discovery results, and stronger defensibility.
