Don McLaughlin is a founding partner, board member, and president. Don works directly with Falcon’s clients to help them optimize their legal discovery processes.

As chief architect of Falcon’s InsideOut™ model, his thought leadership is often cited in legal publications and he is a featured speaker at legal and business conferences.

Prior to founding Falcon, Don’s consulting practice helped Qwest Communications manage the legal and technical challenges associated with electronically stored information (ESI) on high-stakes criminal and civil litigation matters. In the past, he practiced commercial litigation at Sherman & Howard, one of the Mountain West’s largest regional firms. He also served as a deputy district attorney in Colorado’s Eighth Judicial District.

A recognized thought leader on in-house e-discovery, in 2007, Don served as an editorial adviser for the publication, “Navigating the Hazards of E-Discovery: A Manual for Judges in State Courts Across the Nation,” which was published by the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System at the University of Denver. Don earned his J.D. from the University of Denver and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vermont, and studied internationally at the University of London and the Université de Grenoble.
